Choosing a childcare and early learning program is a big decision—and we understand that tuition is a significant investment for families. At Hilltop School, we believe that investment should be reflected in the quality of care, education, and relationships your child experiences every day.

At Hilltop, your child is never just a number. We take the time to truly know each child—their personality, interests, strengths, needs, and individual stage of development. We also get to know your family and work to build the trusting relationships that make children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. Our goal isn't simply to provide a place for your child to spend the day. We are intentionally building the foundation for their next steps and helping them grow from the very beginning.

We invest in the details that make a difference:

Individualized attention: In our youngest classrooms, we staff below state-required ratios to allow for more individualized care, attention, and connection.
Consistent teachers and continuity of care: We believe children thrive when they have familiar, trusted adults they can count on each day. Our teachers provide consistency throughout the week rather than regularly rotating in and out of the classroom. In our oldest classrooms, each room has a dedicated Lead Teacher who is consistently there five days a week. Our youngest classrooms are team-teaching environments, with a Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher who are consistently there five days a week. This consistency allows teachers to truly know your child, recognize their individual needs and cues, build strong relationships, and provide a sense of security and belonging.
Additional classroom support: Our float teachers provide support throughout the school, helping classrooms maintain consistent coverage and giving teachers additional hands when they are needed.
Intentional early learning: Our teachers provide developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences that build important social, emotional, cognitive, communication, and self-help skills at every age.
Continuity of learning: Your child's experiences build from one classroom to the next, creating a strong foundation as they grow from our youngest learners through Pre-K. Just as importantly, we strive to provide continuity of care within each classroom, so children aren't constantly having to adjust to new teachers and routines. The adults caring for your child know them—and they know how your child learns, communicates, plays, and grows.
Safety and security: Keeping children safe is always our highest priority. We maintain strong supervision and safety practices and continually work to create a secure, nurturing environment.
Communication with families: Through our communication app, families receive daily updates about their child's day, including activities, learning experiences, meals, rest, and the little moments that help you feel connected even when you're away.
Experienced leadership: Our administrators bring more than 20 years of experience working with children across age groups, along with a deep understanding of early childhood development and the needs of families.
A team that knows your child: We believe children thrive when the adults caring for them know them well, understand their individual needs, and genuinely care about who they are.

We know there are many childcare choices available. What makes Hilltop different is the depth of what we provide. Children are charged the Young Toddler rate through 17 months of age. At 18 months, tuition changes to the Toddler rate, listed below, even though the child remains in the Young Toddler classroom until 2 years of age.

The Young Toddler classroom is the only classroom where tuition changes based on age. All other tuition rates are based on classroom placement.

Tuition Information

Except for the Young Toddler exception above, tuition is based on classroom placement rather than age. Classroom age ranges are approximate and may overlap based on developmental readiness, classroom transitions, and available space.

Standard tuition rates are paid electronically through Procare and set up on automatic payment (autopay).

Families with two or more children enrolled from the same household receive a 5% sibling discount. The discount is applied to the lowest tuition rate.

Tuition includes two snacks each day provided by Hilltop School. Children bring their own lunch.

Closure Schedule 2025-2026 School Year

Hilltop School has 11 closures per year plus one staff professional development day when we are closed. In an effort to accommodate currently enrolled families, the days each year may vary based on feedback we receive from our annual family survey.

Hilltop School is also closed for one in-service day per year.

Our teachers at Hilltop School are dedicated professionals who are passionate about working with children. They are trained in child development and early childhood education and are committed to providing a high-quality learning experience for your child. We close for one professional development day per year in order for our staff to participate in training together to foster their professional growth.

Hilltop School will be closed on Friday, September 4, 2026, for our staff professional development day.

Looking ahead: Hilltop School will be closed on Friday, September 3, 2027 for a staff professional development day.

Childcare Assistance Programs

Child Care Affordability Program (CCAP)

Hilltop School accepts the Child Care Affordability Program (CCAP); however, CCAP enrollment is limited within our center. We reserve the right to temporarily stop accepting new CCAP enrollments when all available CCAP spaces are filled. Families should check about available CCAP slots prior to appl

Child Care Affordability Program (CCAP)

For families enrolled using CCAP, Hilltop School must have documentation of the family's current award on file. All required parent fees must be paid in accordance with Hilltop School's tuition policies and applicable DHHS requirements.

TANF/ASPIRE

Hilltop School accepts TANF/ASPIRE childcare subsidies. Families participating in this program are responsible for paying the difference between the amount paid by TANF/ASPIRE and Hilltop School's applicable full-time tuition rate.

Documentation verifying the family's award, eligibility, and effective start date must be provided prior to enrollment.

Child Care Aware of America — Military Fee Assistance

Hilltop School accepts Child Care Aware® of America Military Fee Assistance for eligible military and Department of Defense families.

Eligibility and fee assistance amounts are determined by Child Care Aware of America and may vary based on the family's individual circumstances and applicable program requirements. Child Care Aware pays an approved portion of the family's childcare costs directly to Hilltop School, and the family is responsible for paying any remaining tuition balance or required parent portion.

Families wishing to use Child Care Aware Military Fee Assistance must provide all required eligibility and approval documentation. Hilltop School must receive confirmation of the approved assistance, including the approved amount and effective dates, in order for the assistance to be applied to the family's account.

Families are responsible for any tuition or fees not covered by Child Care Aware and for maintaining their eligibility and current authorization throughout enrollment.

For additional information regarding eligibility or to apply for Military Fee Assistance, families should contact Child Care Aware of America directly.

Other Assistance & FSA Statements

At this time, Hilltop School does not participate in other childcare assistance or subsidy programs.

Families who need documentation for a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or employer reimbursement program can download monthly statements directly through our communication app.
