There are so many exciting aspects to our program here at Hilltop School. See below for information about our Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K programs and make sure to scroll down to the bottom to see our family handbook and program specific handbooks and learn about how to enroll!
Our Toddler program is for children ages 18 months through 3 years of age. We offer a developmentally appropriate program that is designed to enhance the overall growth of your child. Planning is based on observations of the children using their interests, skills, and reaction to new materials. As the children grow and change, the teachers change the classroom environment. Children do not need to be potty trained to join our Toddler Program however, they do need to be walking on their own prior to enrollment due to our licensing regulations.
The ratio in our toddler rooms are 1 Teacher to 5 Children.

Our Jr Preschool program is for children ages 2.5-3.5 years old. Children experience many different development leaps and milestones during this age. Curriculum is designed based children's interests and needs and the environment has learning centers set up where children can choose from purposely planned activities to enhance their learning. Children do not need to be potty trained to join our Jr. Preschool Program.

Hilltop offers full time and part time preschool services for children who are 3.5 years of age through 4.5 years of age. Our preschool children are in classrooms of ten children or less, allowing for more individualized attention. The physical space of the classroom is organized into different areas, dramatic play, block area, library, math, science, table toys and sensory area. Classroom space divided into different interest areas is an ideal setting for young children who want to explore and pursue their own interests. A variety of quiet and more active areas accommodate different temperaments and needs, as well as providing an opportunity for children to work alone or in groups. Materials in the areas are changed to reflect varying themes and areas of interests. Children in our Preschool Program must be fully potty trained prior to enrollment.
The ratio in our Preschool classrooms is 1 teacher to 10 Children.
Our Pre-Kindergarten program provides a high quality learning environment which is designed for children who are preparing for a successful transition to kindergarten the following year. The classroom space is divided into different learning centers allowing children an opportunity to explore and pursue their own interests through purposeful planning. During a child's Pre-K year the teacher plans activities to enhance a child's social/emotional skills, health/physical development, language/literacy development, cognitive development, and mathematical/scientific thinking all of which are critical to a child's readiness, success and overall well being as they enter Kindergarten. The Teacher adapts curriculum as well as the environment to meet the children's needs and interests and children learning through hands on, child directed activities. Children enrolling in our Pre-K program need to be age 4 prior to October 15 and must be fully potty trained.
The ratio in our Pre-K Classroom is 1 Teacher to 10 Children.
